PDF Forms
Fill in the form fields inside a PDF, then save or flatten the result.
Open PDF Forms →What is the PDF Forms filler?
A free, private tool that fills in the fillable form fields inside a PDF — text boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons and dropdowns — then lets you save the result or flatten it. Everything happens in your browser, so the document and your answers are never uploaded. It's for PDFs that already contain interactive AcroForm fields.
How to use PDF Forms
- Open a fillable PDF — Drop a PDF onto the dropzone or click to choose one. The tool detects the interactive form fields and lists them.
- Fill in the fields — Type into text fields, tick checkboxes, choose radio options and pick from dropdowns in the panel on the right; the preview updates as you go.
- Refresh the preview — Use Refresh preview to re-render the pages with your current values if you want to double-check the layout.
- Save or flatten — Choose Save filled PDF to keep the fields editable, or Flatten & save to bake your answers in permanently so they can't be changed.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of PDF do I need?
One with real, fillable AcroForm fields. If the tool reports no form fields, the PDF is flat or scanned — use the Edit PDF tool to type on top of it instead.
What does 'Flatten & save' do?
Flattening merges your answers into the page so they become part of the document and can no longer be edited as form fields. Use it when you want a final, locked version.
Will my document be uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and filled entirely on your device, so neither the file nor the answers you type leave your browser.
Which field types are supported?
Text fields (including multi-line), checkboxes, radio buttons and dropdowns. Digital signature fields are shown but can't be signed here.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the app has loaded, the forms tool keeps working without a connection.
Tips
- If no fields are detected, the PDF isn't a true form — switch to Edit PDF to add text on top.
- Save the editable version first if you might need to change answers later, then flatten a final copy.
- Flatten before sending a form so recipients can't alter what you entered.
- Use Refresh preview to confirm long text and checkboxes render the way you expect.
