Sign PDF
Draw a signature and stamp it onto the pages you choose.
Open Sign PDF →What is the Sign PDF tool?
A private way to add a handwritten signature to a PDF — draw your signature once, then stamp it onto the pages you choose. The whole process runs in your browser, so the document never leaves your computer, and it keeps working offline after the first load. It's handy for signing contracts, forms and letters without printing and scanning.
How to use Sign PDF
- Open a PDF — Drop a PDF onto the page or click to choose a file. It's read locally — nothing is uploaded.
- Draw your signature — Sign in the pad with your mouse, trackpad or finger, then press Use this signature to confirm it as the current one.
- Set position and size — Pick where the signature sits (bottom right, centre, top left and so on), and adjust its width as a percentage of the page plus the margin in points.
- Choose the pages — Click the pages you want to sign, or use Sign all pages or Last page only to select quickly.
- Save the PDF — Press Save PDF to download a new copy with your signature stamped onto every selected page.
Frequently asked questions
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened and signed entirely in your browser, so neither the file nor your signature ever leaves your device.
Can I sign more than one page?
Yes. Click each page you want to sign, or use Sign all pages to stamp the signature onto every page at once.
How do I redraw my signature?
Press Clear to wipe the pad, draw again, then press Use this signature to make the new one current. The latest confirmed signature is the one that gets stamped.
How big will the signature be?
The width is set as a percentage of the page (25% by default), so it scales to each page automatically. Adjust the width and margin fields to fine-tune the placement.
Is this a legally binding e-signature?
It stamps a visible image of your handwritten signature, like signing a printout. It does not add a cryptographic digital certificate, so check whether that's required for your specific use.
Tips
- Draw slowly and a little larger than you think — a bigger signature in the pad stays smoother when scaled down.
- For most contracts, sign the last page only; use Sign all pages when each page needs initialling.
- Increase the margin if your signature lands too close to the page edge.
