A big tap-to-count tally counter for tracking people, reps, laps, votes or stock. Tap the number (or press Space) to add one, set a custom step, optional min and max limits, a click sound and a distraction-free fullscreen mode. It saves your count automatically and works offline in your browser.
How to use Tally counter
- Name your count — Type a label at the top of the stage — for example People in, Reps or Votes — so you remember what you're tracking.
- Count up or down — Tap the big number to add one, or use the plus and minus buttons. Keyboard works too: Space or Up to add, Backspace or Down to subtract.
- Set the step and limits — Pick a step of 1, 5, 10 or 100 (or type a custom one), and optionally switch on a min and max so the count stays within range.
- Go fullscreen — Hit Fullscreen for a huge, distraction-free number that's easy to read across a room or while you tap.
Frequently asked questions
Does my count get saved if I close the tab?
Yes. The count, label and your settings are stored locally on your device, so they're still there when you come back. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
Can I count downwards?
Yes. Use the minus button, press Backspace or the Down arrow, and the count drops by your chosen step. It can go negative unless you set a minimum limit.
How do I reset back to zero?
Use Reset to 0 in the Set & reset panel. You can also type any starting number into Set count to and press Set.
What does the click sound do?
When switched on, each count plays a short tick — a higher tone for adding, a lower one for subtracting — so you get audible feedback without watching the screen.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The counter runs entirely in your browser with no network needed, so it keeps working offline after the first load.
Tips
- Set a custom step to count in batches — handy for stock-takes or tallying in fives.
- Switch on min and max limits to stop over-counting, like capping a room at its capacity.
- Use fullscreen at a door or event so the number is readable from a distance.
- Turn on the click sound to tally without looking at the screen.
