A focus timer that cycles through work sessions, short breaks and long breaks with a depleting ring, paired with a simple saved task list. It runs entirely in your browser — your settings, tomato count and tasks are kept on your device, and the timer keeps ticking while you use other tools.
How to use Pomodoro & tasks
- Set your durations — Open Settings to adjust the focus length, short and long break lengths, and how many sessions before a long break.
- Add tasks — Type a task and press Enter to add it to the list so you know what to work on this session.
- Start the timer — Press Start. The ring depletes as the session runs; pause, reset or skip at any time using the controls.
- Take your break — When a focus session ends you'll hear a beep (if sound is on), and the timer moves to a break. Repeat the cycle to build up your tomato count.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Pomodoro technique?
It's a time-management method that breaks work into focused intervals — traditionally 25 minutes — separated by short breaks, with a longer break after several sessions.
Does the timer keep running if I switch tools?
Yes. The timer keeps ticking while you use other tools in Caspian Office, so you don't lose your session.
Will it alert me when a session ends?
It can beep using the browser's audio, and optionally show a desktop notification if you enable that setting and grant permission.
Are my tasks and settings saved?
Yes. Your settings, tomato count and task list are stored in your browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
Can I change the session lengths?
Yes. Open Settings to set custom focus, short break and long break lengths, plus how often a long break occurs and whether the next session auto-starts.
Tips
- Pick one task per focus session to avoid switching context mid-pomodoro.
- Turn on Auto-start next so breaks and sessions flow without you reaching for the button.
- Enable the desktop alert if you tend to switch tabs during a session.
- Clear completed tasks at the end of the day to keep your list tidy.
