What is Scan to PDF?

A free document scanner that uses your device's camera to capture pages and build a multi-page PDF, entirely in your browser. Position a page, capture it, reorder or retake as needed, and save the lot as a single PDF. The video stream stays in the browser — no images are uploaded.

How to use Scan to PDF

  1. Start your camera — Click Start camera and allow access. On phones you can flip between the front and back cameras.
  2. Capture each page — Hold the page steady in view and press the big round button to capture it. Each shot is added to the captured pages list on the right.
  3. Reorder and retake — Drag pages to reorder them, delete any you do not want, and capture replacements. Optionally apply a filter — Colour, B&W or Sharpen — to the pages.
  4. Build the PDF — When you are happy with the page order, build a multi-page PDF and download it to your device.

Frequently asked questions

Are my scanned pages uploaded anywhere?

No. The camera stream stays in your browser and the PDF is built on your device, so none of your captured images are sent to a server.

Why can't I see the camera?

The camera needs your permission and a secure connection. Click Start camera and allow access when your browser prompts you; you can then flip to a different camera if your device has more than one.

Can I change the order of the pages?

Yes. Captured pages appear in a sidebar where you can drag them into any order, and delete or retake individual pages before building the PDF.

What do the filters do?

The filter row lets you keep pages in Colour, convert them to black and white, or sharpen them for higher contrast — handy for text documents shot in poor light.
