A free, private Gantt chart maker that turns a list of tasks with start and end dates into a project timeline of bars across the weeks. It draws a today marker and a progress fill for each task, runs entirely in your browser, and keeps your tasks on your device so it works offline.
How to use Gantt chart
- List your tasks — Type each task name into the table, then set its start and end dates. Use the + Add task button to add more rows.
- Set the progress — Enter a percentage in the % column for each task. The bar fills to show how far along it is, and a today line marks the current date.
- Pick a colour — Use the colour swatch to choose the accent applied to every bar so the timeline matches your project or brand.
- Export the timeline — Download the chart as an SVG vector, a PNG image, or a PDF document from the export menu in the header.
Frequently asked questions
Are my tasks saved anywhere online?
No. Your tasks stay in your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded, and the chart keeps working offline after the first load.
Which export formats can I download?
You can export the timeline as an SVG vector, a PNG image, or a PDF document.
What does the today marker show?
A dashed red line is drawn at the current date across the chart, so you can see at a glance which tasks are behind, on track or upcoming.
How is the progress bar calculated?
Each task has a percentage you enter yourself. The coloured fill covers that share of the bar, and the percentage label appears beside any task that is partly done.
Can I undo a change?
Yes. The tool keeps an undo history, so you can step back if you remove a task or edit a date by mistake.
Tips
- For print or large displays, export the SVG so the bars and labels stay sharp at any size.
- Keep task names short — long names are trimmed to fit the timeline's label column.
- Set realistic start and end dates so the today marker gives you an accurate read on progress.
