What is the chart maker?

A free chart maker that turns typed or pasted data into a bar, line, pie, doughnut, radar or scatter chart, then exports it as a PNG. You can also choose horizontal bar, area and polar-area styles. It runs entirely in your browser and works fully offline.

How to use Chart maker

  1. Enter your data — Type values into the editable grid, add rows and series with the buttons, or paste CSV/TSV where the first row is column names and the first column is the X-axis labels.
  2. Pick a chart type — Choose bar, horizontal bar, line, area, pie, doughnut, radar, polar area or scatter.
  3. Style the chart — Set a colour palette, add a title, position or hide the legend, choose a white or transparent background, and toggle gridlines or starting the axis at zero.
  4. Export a PNG — Download the finished chart as a PNG image to drop into a document, slide or report.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get my data in quickly?

Open the Paste CSV/TSV box and paste your spreadsheet data. The first row becomes the column names, the first column becomes the X-axis labels, and the remaining columns become the series.

Which chart types are available?

What format can I export?

The chart exports as a PNG image. Choose a transparent background if you want to place it over a coloured slide.
