What is the DMAIC board?

A DMAIC project board for tracking a Six Sigma improvement effort phase by phase: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. Each card holds an owner, due date, impact, effort and the problem and root cause. It runs entirely in your browser, saves on your device, and works offline.

How to use DMAIC board

  1. Add cards to a phase — Create a card in the Define column for each problem or task, then build out Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control as the project moves on.
  2. Fill in the details — Open a card to set its owner, due date, impact and effort, and to note the problem and its root cause.
  3. Move work across the phases — Drag cards from one column to the next as each phase is completed, so the board reflects where the project really is.
  4. Export or share — Export the board to JSON to reopen later, or to CSV, PNG or PDF to share progress with your team.

Frequently asked questions

What do the DMAIC phases mean?

DMAIC is the core Six Sigma cycle: Define the problem, Measure the current state, Analyze the root causes, Improve the process, and Control the gains so they stick.

Is my board saved if I close the tab?

Yes. The board is stored on your own device, so it is still there when you come back — and nothing is uploaded to any server.

Which export formats are available?

You can export to JSON, CSV, PNG or PDF. Use JSON to reload the board later and the others to share or print it.

Do I need an account or internet connection?

No. The board is fully client-side and works offline once the page has loaded — there are no accounts and no sign-in.
