What is the image resizer?

A free, private tool that resizes JPG, PNG and WebP images to exact pixels, a percentage, or a ready-made preset for social, print and email. The resized preview updates live and everything happens in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded and it keeps working offline after the first load.

How to use Resize image

  1. Add your image — Drag a JPG, PNG or WebP onto the dropzone, or click to pick a file. Its original dimensions are shown straight away.
  2. Choose how to resize — Switch between the Preset, Pixels and Percent tabs — pick a preset like Full HD or Instagram square, type exact width and height, or drag the percentage slider.
  3. Keep the proportions — Leave 'Lock aspect ratio' (Pixels) or 'Fit inside box' (Preset) ticked so the image scales without stretching, or untick to set width and height independently.
  4. Pick an output format — Keep the original format, or convert to JPG, PNG or WebP.
  5. Download — Check the live preview and new dimensions, then click Download to save the resized image to your device.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Resizing runs entirely in your browser using a canvas, so the image file never leaves your device and works offline.

What presets are available?

Nine presets cover common needs: Full HD, HD, Instagram square, Instagram portrait, Story / Reel, OpenGraph / LinkedIn, Email-friendly, Profile picture and Thumbnail.

Will resizing distort my image?

Not if you keep the aspect ratio locked. With 'Lock aspect ratio' or 'Fit inside box' on, the image scales proportionally; untick it only when you deliberately want to force exact width and height.

Can I make an image larger?

Yes — you can enter bigger pixels or set the percentage above 100%, though enlarging beyond the original size can look soft, as no new detail can be invented.

Which formats can I open and save?

It reads JPG, PNG and WebP, and can export as JPG, PNG or WebP, or keep the original format.
