What is the image cropper?

An image cropper where you drag a box on the picture to keep exactly the part you want. It offers aspect-ratio presets for social posts, print and ID photos, and lets you choose the output format. Everything runs in your browser, so your images stay private and the tool keeps working offline.

How to use Crop image

  1. Add an image — Drop a file onto the dropzone or click to choose one — JPG, PNG, WebP and BMP are supported.
  2. Position the crop box — Drag the corners or edges to resize the box, and drag inside it to move the selection.
  3. Lock an aspect ratio — Pick a preset such as Square, 4:5, 16:9, 9:16 or 35:45 ID photo to keep the proportions exact, or stay on Free.
  4. Choose a format and download — Keep the original format or switch to JPG, PNG or WebP, then download the cropped image.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to crop them?

No. Cropping happens entirely in your browser, so the image never leaves your device and the tool works offline.

Which aspect-ratio presets are available?

You can choose Free, Square (1:1), Portrait (4:5), Landscape (5:4), Photo (3:2), Widescreen (16:9), Story (9:16) or ID photo (35:45).

Can I crop without locking the ratio?

Yes. The Free preset lets you drag the box to any shape, while a locked ratio keeps the width and height in fixed proportion.

What output formats can I save?

You can keep the original format or export the crop as JPG, PNG or WebP.

Will I see the exact crop size?

Yes. The sidebar shows the crop's pixel width and height plus the percentage of the original, and a tag on the box updates as you drag.
