What is the Eisenhower matrix?

A task-prioritisation board built on the four Urgent and Important quadrants. Sort each task into Do, Decide (schedule), Delegate or Delete so you can focus on what truly matters. It runs entirely in your browser, saves on your device, and works offline.

How to use Eisenhower matrix

  1. Add a task — Click the plus button on any quadrant and type a short description of the task.
  2. Place it by urgency and importance — Decide whether the task is urgent and important, and drop it into the matching quadrant: Do now, Schedule, Delegate or Eliminate.
  3. Move tasks as priorities change — Drag a task to another quadrant, or use its move button to pick a destination from the menu.
  4. Edit or clear — Click a task to edit its text inline, remove single tasks with the delete button, or use Clear all to empty every quadrant.

Frequently asked questions

What do the four quadrants mean?

Urgent and Important means do it now; Important but not urgent means schedule a time; Urgent but not important means delegate it; neither urgent nor important means eliminate it.

Are my tasks saved between visits?

Yes. The single working matrix is stored on your own device, so your tasks are still there when you return — and nothing is uploaded.

How do I move a task between quadrants?

Drag it from one quadrant to another, or click its move button and choose the destination quadrant from the menu.

Can I undo a change?

Yes. The matrix supports undo and redo from the header buttons or Ctrl/Cmd + Z and Ctrl/Cmd + Y, so you can step back after a delete or a move.
