What is the QR code generator?

A free, private QR code generator that creates scannable codes for text, links, WiFi logins, contact cards, email, phone numbers and SMS — entirely in your browser. Pick a type, fill in the form, and the code updates live as you type. Nothing you enter is uploaded, so it's safe for WiFi passwords and personal contact details, and it keeps working offline after the first load.

How to use QR code generator

  1. Choose a type — Pick what the code should hold — Text, URL, Email, Phone, SMS, WiFi or vCard — from the tabs at the top of the form.
  2. Fill in the details — Enter your content (for example a web address, or a WiFi network name and password). The QR preview on the right regenerates as you type.
  3. Customise the look — Adjust the foreground and background colours, the size, and the error-correction level to match your design or print needs.
  4. Download — Save the finished code as a PNG for screens and documents, or as a crisp SVG that scales to any size for print.

Frequently asked questions

Are QR codes I create uploaded anywhere?

No. The code is generated entirely in your browser, so the data you encode — including WiFi passwords and contact details — never leaves your device.

Do the QR codes expire or stop working?

No. These are static QR codes: the content is baked directly into the image, so they never expire and don't depend on any server or account.

What's the difference between PNG and SVG?

PNG is a fixed-resolution image that's ideal for screens, slides and documents. SVG is a vector that stays razor-sharp at any size, which is best for printing on posters, packaging or signage.

What does the error-correction level do?

Higher error correction lets a code still scan even if part of it is dirty, damaged or covered by a logo — at the cost of a denser pattern. Use a higher level for printed codes that may get scuffed.

How do I make a WiFi QR code?

Choose the WiFi type, then enter your network name (SSID), password and security type. Anyone who scans it can join the network without typing the password.
