An anagram solver and word unscrambler: type some scrambled letters and it finds every dictionary word you can make from them — handy for Scrabble, Wordle and other word games. Use "?" for a blank or wildcard tile. The English wordlist of around 359,000 words loads once and then everything runs in your browser.
How to use Anagram solver & word unscrambler
- Type your letters — Enter the letters you have in the input box. Add a "?" for each blank or wildcard tile you want to stand in for any letter.
- Set a minimum length — Use the "Min length" field to hide very short words and focus on longer, higher-scoring ones.
- Choose exact or partial — Tick "Exact anagrams only" to show only words that use every letter, or leave it off to also find shorter words made from a subset.
- Browse the results — Matches appear grouped by word length, longest first, updating as you type so you can scan the best options quickly.
Frequently asked questions
Does the solver work offline?
After the first use it does. The ~3.7 MB wordlist is fetched once on first open and cached, so subsequent searches run entirely in your browser without a connection.
How do I use a blank tile?
Type "?" for each blank. Each "?" can match any single letter, just like a blank tile in Scrabble.
What's the difference between exact and partial matches?
Exact anagrams use all of your letters at once. With the box unticked, the tool also lists shorter valid words that use only some of your letters.
Why does it only show a few hundred words?
To stay fast and readable the results are capped at the first 600 matches. Add more letters or raise the minimum length to narrow a large set down.
Which dictionary does it use?
A public-domain English wordlist of roughly 359,000 entries. It is broad, so some entries may not be valid in every specific game's official dictionary.
Tips
- Raise the minimum length to skip two- and three-letter words and surface the big scorers.
- Add a "?" to explore which extra letters would open up new words.
- Turn on "Exact anagrams only" when you need a single word that uses every letter.
- The first open downloads the dictionary, so give it a moment on a slow connection.
